Mad House summer tour visits Kontula Electronic festival 17.-18.5.2019. The other stops will be at Teurastamo (13.6.), Helsinki, Puistofilosofia in Ikaalinen (23.-27.7) and International Nature Film Festival in Savonlinna (16.-18.8.).

Juha Valkeapää & Juhani Liimatainen: Bird Concert

Sound artists Juhani Liimatainen and Juha Valkeapää create a scenery of everyday and mythological birds, like sparrow, great tit, starling, pigeon, seagull, swan, eagle owl, raven, loon, cuckoo, phoenix, and Tux penguin. Jussi plays synthesizers, Juha his voice, and they talk a bit, too. And they dress in feathers. The concert lasts 30-40 minutes.

Puppet theatre Kuuma ankanpoikanen tells sullen stories about environment. The rhyming researchers invite families and people of all ages to wonder creatures and phenomenon which might cause some sweating in our planet.

Utopia Consultation is a performative form of encounter between two or more people. The purpose of the consultation is to open up utopian perspectives and possibilities into one’s everyday life, identity or certain situation.

Oblivia: The Rave

Performance company Oblivia’s installation The Rave asks how to make a performance and tour with it sustainably in the age of ecological crisis. The performance was originally performed in a with space in Helsinki and simultaneously live streamed in Berlin, Melbourne and Auckland. The installation displays the recording of the performance.
