Helsinki Poetry Connection has enriched the Finnish cultural scene by organising creative poetry happenings since 2008. The collective's goal is to promote the status of Finnish poetry. Verse and music meet and compliment each other giving gifted writers and performers an arena for performing their own creative material, ranging from poems to rap lyrics.

2018 marks the 10th anniversary of HPC, a year filled with jams, slams, tours and discussions about poetry and spoken word. Produced together with Mad House, Let's Talk () Poetry nights are an exciting combination of discussion, performance and open mic, bringing poets and their audiences closer together. The events are hosted by comedian and spoken word artists Jonna Nummela, aka Nihkee Akka, from HPC.
