Mad House celebrates the 100 years of Dada during the spring 2016

Februrary 5th in 1916 Cabaret Voltaire opened it's doors and the anarchist art movement Dada was born. Hundred years later, February 5th in 2016 Mad House Helsinki opens it's doors for the 3rd time. The spring season in Mad House is filled with dadaist art starting from the Opening Night and ending with a three-day-long Neodada festival in April (22nd – 24th). Festival is dedicated to the memory of Stella Parland who passed away 2015, Parland was the number one dada artist in Finnish art scene.

Heikki Saure’s art pieces Kirjoituksia maasta and Dadamachine are featured in Mad House from  5-27 February 2016.

Kirjoituksia maasta (Writings from the Ground) is based on pieces of written paper and other objects with handwritten text, numbers or other marks that Saure has found on the ground. Heikki has collected the objects for more than 20 years. This is the first time that all of his findings are shown at the same time and place.

3rd and 4th of March Mad house features double bill with Jovanka Trbojevic's homage to Dada, B Funeral and Sándor Vály's piano concert Young Dionysos.
